For the last 30 years, Mr. Shrimp has been bringing the taste of the Louisiana Bayou to South Florida. Since their start in the small farming town of Belle Glade, Mr. Shrimp has become a local hotspot surpassing everyone’s expectations as a hometown favorite with the locals. This fast-casual seafood concept exceptionally incorporates Louisiana’s Cajun Cuisine with the modern demands of quality, unprocessed ingredients. They are simply unmatched in this market — offering fresh, made-to-order food with a depth of flavor that can only be found in the kitchens of the Bayou. FROM BAYOU TO GLADES

The Wordmark is derivative of typography found at fish marts and street signage in New Orleans. The typography is hand-drawn, digitized and paired with a modern script font to make it relevant to today’s consumer. The Tagline, “Cajun Kitchen Reloaded,” has the purpose of explaining to a new customer what the cuisine at Mr. Shrimp is like. The Shrimp Icon is broken down to a simple shape based on the Fibonacci series, and the crown symbolizes Mr. Shrimp’s superiority over other competitors.

from spice to spice

To connect the food of Mr. Shrimp with it’s Louisiana Roots, unique illustrations were combined with photography and a map of 1500s Louisiana. They are to be used in patterns and communications to help deliver Mr. Shrimp’s overall theme of providing an excellent fusion of Cajun Floridian goodness.
