Wood Tavern was a cultural landmark and nightlife institution in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, known for its laid-back, creative energy and vibrant social atmosphere. From its roots as an unpretentious gathering spot across from the Wynwood Walls to its evolution into a beloved bar and dance venue with eclectic music, outdoor patios and a diverse crowd, Wood Tavern embodied the spirit of Wynwood’s early days as an arts district and nightlife destination.

Jastor’s work with Wood Tavern focused on capturing the essence of a bar that was more than a place to have drinks — it was an experience rooted in community, expression and the authentic energy of Wynwood. The value Jastor brought to the project was in defining a visual and narrative identity that reflected the bar’s spontaneous vibe and creative soul, reinforcing its role not just as a venue, but as a cultural hub for locals and creatives alike.
The design system developed for Wood Tavern was expressive and adaptive, built to mirror the eclectic, art-driven environment of Wynwood. Bold typography, graphic elements inspired by street art and color treatments that referenced the neighborhood’s murals and urban textures created a flexible visual language that could perform across menus, digital interfaces, promotional graphics and environmental applications.

Through an identity grounded in character, energy and local culture, Wood Tavern carved out a distinct presence in Wynwood’s nightlife ecosystem

Jastor delivered a holistic branding solution that unified Wood Tavern’s strategy, design and experience into a cohesive visual ecosystem. The result was a brand system capable of expressing the venue’s authentic personality, strengthening its connection to Wynwood’s cultural fabric and supporting its presence across digital and physical platforms.
