An out-of-the-box fresh look for Wynwood’s newest go-to lunch spot
When we met the masterminds behind Taula, business partners and restaurateurs, Ignacio Garcia and Jose De Leon, our team was inspired by their dedication to providing the freshest ingredients. Their attention to detail and commitment to their craft is what makes Taula a pioneer of serving high-quality Mediterranean food in the heart of the Arts and Entertainment District of Miami.
Since inspiration is the engine of our business, our team researched signage found in Mediterranean street markets as well as artists and prints from the region to develop a visual brand language rich in color and culture. Since Taula means “table” in Arabic, the wordmark resembles a carving etched in wood. The Icon is the broken down shape of a parsley leaf, which is the staple and cornerstone of every Mediterranean dish, from tabbouleh to shawarma.

From the inception of the brand, it was important to call back to the Mediterranean as the source of Taula’s recipes and quality ingredients. For that reason, illustrations were drawn in-house of specific flowers and birds found in different countries from the Mediterranean.
Inspired by the work of silkscreen schools in the region, there are illustrations of lavender, rock roses, canalit anemones, and Moroccan sunflowers.
The illustrations also include national birds from Mediterranean countries like the Redstart (Morocco), the Redwing (Turkey), the Hoopoe (Israel) and Mythological Phoenix (Lebanon).
Our palettes are inspired by the sauces and ingredients known to the Mediterranean, and more specifically, the vibrant colors, hues , and textures unique to Taula’s house-made sauces.
